Give

Below information is about financial giving. We recognize that giving does not solely concern financial giving and wish to encourage members (of Koinonia and of the body of Christ) to give in other ways and to use their gifts (1 Peter 4:10)

Why to give

The earth is the Lord’s, and all it contains,

The world, and those who dwell in it.

For He has founded it upon the seas

And established it upon the rivers. (Psalm 24:1-2)

We believe everything was created by God and belongs to him. Everything we have has been given to us by God and we are to be faithful stewards over what has been given to each of us. While giving is an act of obedience, it is equally a blessing to give back to the Lord with gratitude, joy and love.

Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. (2 Cor. 9:7)

When to give

General offerings - through the general offerings, Koinonia covers its running costs and mission costs.

Special offerings - four times a year, Koinonia collects special offerings. Details of a special offering will be given during services and by e-mail.

Gifts - individuals, families or fellowships may wish to give a gift to Koinonia, which we will gratefully accept.

Pledges - Koinonia does not actively search for quantified pledges, instead refers to 2 Cor.9:7. Nevertheless, anyone who feels led to make a financial pledge towards Koinonia – be it for general or for specific purpose – can contact Lee Hanson or Joseph Meijs.
